So I bought this android tablet 7 inches with software installed for a good deal on ebay. I'm trying to figure out this issue, if it's charging or not because it keeps popping up saying the battery is dead when it's plugged in. When I first booted it up it worked fine. Then after about maybe five minutes the battery life was gone. Does anyone know what the issue could be? Where do you fix androids if they are broken? It's really awesome, and worth way more than spending 400 or 600 dollars on an ipad. I only paid 86 dollars for it. I'd really like to use it though, and the fact that it won't charge is an issue. If in fact it is charging, could it be a software issue? The seller said they thought it was MID brand, and they accidentally bumped it causing the issue.

this is a dumb question but just to make sure you are trying to charge it with the wall charger and not through usb correct?

Yep it's new so I've never worked with an android or ipad. It plugs into the wall through the usb wall charger. I talked to my teacher, he said it could be charging and not showing it. The problem is a screen pops up saying it's out of battery life. So I can't really use it when this happens. The screen keeps popping up. I don't want to give up and sell it though it's pretty cool.

you could try reflashing the rom, but the caveat is that your unit must be well powered or else if it dies during the flash process could be problems.
see if you can find what model you have and do a google search on how to open it up i know the zenithink is easy to open up because i don't think this is a software issue most likely a connection is loose

I have a total of 5 of these devices and to date I've had only 1 device with a similar issues...

My Problem: The first AC/DC adapter was not charging the device when it was turned off (red light/charging indicator on the tablet was not on)
I had an extra AC/DC adapter with a built in indicator light, that I decided to use. All of a sudden the second AC/DC adapter stopped working...

Solution: I went to THE SOURCE/RADIO SHACK and purchased a "more reliable" charger, 9v, 800mA . I noticed the device would charge (red indicator ON) for a few minutes (10 minutes) then stop... this was when the device was turned off... However I have now turned the device on and have gone into the settings to view the battery status... it continues to switch between Charging Mode and Full Mode.... but it continues to charge as long as the device is left on....It appears charging WILL NOT WORK in hibernation mode as well...
So, in this instance, charging will work only if the device is left on....

Good Luck, please continue to share your feedback
