whats going on with 3.1 update

Hi All, new to the forum. I am trying to update my a500 from 3.0.1 to new 3.1 and it keeps saying that it is up to date. several posting have suggested that acer has pulled the update is this true? Any ideas on what is happening.

Apparently the update has been temporarily pulled, so for now 3.0.1 is up to date. They're fixing the update.
