Hello,

I am developing benchmarking standards as I will be reviewing tablets in the future for my blog.

I am looking for input on what are some good benchmarking apps. I am currently looking at Linpack and Quadrant Professional. Are those sufficient? Are there better ones out there?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Those two are the most common.

BenchmarkPI, Softweg Benchmark.

There's a new benchmark built into SetCPU now, and you should take a look at that because it is supposed to be cross-platform. Quite new:
SetCPU for Root Users [2.0.2] This *actually* changes everything. 08/02/2010 - xda-developers

Qualcomm's NeoCore is still the standard for graphics tests, but screen resolutions have to match.

Linpack is much the most common of all of them, but you have to consider factors such as JIT.

Then there are browser based javascript benchmarks, but it depends on how libwebcore was built.

V8 Benchmark Suite for example

USB flash performance with the phone mounted to a PC is a test I would like to see more of, if you can get enough to test on.

Speedtest is good for wifi throughput, also wifi analyizer and looking at db
