BC 1.3.0 Market Place - Starting Download

So I just installed BC this morning. It's beautiful, the layout is nice, everything is easy to find and intuitive, the backgrounds and other apps are great.

Then I tried the Market app... I get the same thing I've gotten with several other ROMs, where you try to download an app and it goes into "starting download" and never comes back.

I tried the market app fix from the main post, been googling for the past 2 hours and watched several youtube videos without success.

Is there a fix for this or should I just go back to the stock firmware and bury my head in the sand?

Thanks in advance

Interesting, responding to my own post and a huge plug to sharpe351 first to respond to me in another thread. Just on a whim, I opened up my firewall to just the IP I was getting from our corporate wireless. I took it from allowing anything to go out on http/https/dns to allowing my IP to do anything... as soon as I did that, my downloads completed. The interesting part is that the only protocols transiting the firewall are DNS, HTTP and HTTPS (https only well after the transfer completed, so I'm not sure what it's doing there, some authentication maybe?).

Also interesting is that I'd paired this with my iPhone late last week, running MyWi and using it as a 3G access point and the downloads still failed.

Though I'm not sure persistence was the key since I'd tried several times with multiple ROM's

Rd, you know, I heard somewhere that the encryption of the Wifi will sometimes interact with Androids Wifi interface. I cannot confirm, but I'm pretty sure I read it somewhere. I use WEP on my setup at home with very little issue. When I tether to my LG Optimus V phone, I have occasional issues with Market downloads.

I don't think it has anything to do with the ROM due to the fact that I have had similar issues with other ROMs (Froyo, Gingerbread, and HoneyComb). It could, as I stated in the other thread, have a great deal to do with the recent updates to Market to resolve several issues. Anyone noticed that Market has updated frequently lately? I did. I monitor all communications in and out of my tablet through my Wifi router as a log file.

I really noticed the issue that you're speaking of after I installed Flashback 7.2 ROM. Repartitioning the tablet, wiping data, formatting, etc. I had a lot of issues with it, loosing files, SOD, etc., but bugs are expected with a developing ROM and I am willing to accept that.

Now, taking into account that I haven't downloaded from the Market lately, I'm not sure if I will still have the same concern. I've switched ROMs a lot lately (5 in 2 days) and used Titanium Backup to restore everything, be it for testing or what-have-you.

Youmay also want to make sure to flash the update for Brilliant Corners (making 1.3.1). I'm not totally sure, but it may resolved your issue entirely.

Tested 10 minutes ago. Market still acting up. Gives me a prompt "downloading" and nothing on the status bar. Then I get the "package not signed correctly". I still think it is the Market. I don't think its the tablet or the ROM. I tried downloading Bomb Zombies (name is close?) a free app from market. The market shows me all of my installed apps, updates, etc.

*edit* 3 tries, downloaded successfully.
