I'm interested in one of these as well. On the Coby site, it says that the MID7024 has a 7.4V 2000mah battery and comes with a 9V charger. The MID7015 has a 3.7v 4500mah batteries with 5V chargers. I noticed that the MID7026, which has the same processor as the MID7024, is listed as having a 3.7v 4000mah. This is the same power rating as the MID7024 but the different voltages seems screwy. Also, this is about 2Wh less power than the MID7015's battery. Would it be possible that this newer processor Samsung S5PV210 (Cortex A8), rated at 1Ghz, uses less power than the MID7015's Telechips TTC8902 at 800mhz? If not, whatever the voltage, the MID7024 has about a 10% less powerful battery than the MID7015. Any help on figuring this out would be appreciated.
Jeepa, the mid7015 does not have a 4500mah battery. Do a search for "Inside the Coby Kyros 7015" and you can see that it has a 2450mah battery. Colby's website claims the 7015 bat is 3200, maybe a little white lie? Anyway, your conclusion is wrong. The 7024/7025 battery is almost twice the capacity of the 7015! 3.7v 2450mah vs 3.7v 4000mah. This makes sense because if you search the forum you can see a tear down post for the Herotab c8 with the same A8 processor as the 7024, and it has a similar size battery. In terms of the voltages being screwy as you say, it's just a different way of wiring the battery packs - parallel vs series. As you point out, they have the same power rating (capacity). Hope this clears things up.
