I am currently working with Airplane Mode turned ON, it does switch all your connections off, but you have the option to turn WIFI back on.

I have a Verizon tab. If I go into Airplane Mode, how do I turn Wi-Fi on without activating on the phone?
I cancelled my cell phone plan.

Thats when Ur device is locked. So basically your radio is all that's being used during standby mode.

How are you charging the Tab? I've noticed erroneous high charge reports after trickle charge via usb and car. Firing up Camera usually ' adjusts' it lickety split.

When you switch to airplane mode, wifi will be turned off. But you can turn the wifi right back on.

Even if you are not "using" the cell function, you still need to turn the cell radio (which is used for 3G) off if you want to conserve battery power while only using WIFI.

I'm getting confused.
I have been using it in airplane mode, but I have to turn on wi-fi every time I turn it on. It's a bit of a pain.
Can you tell me how to turn off all cell functions and use it in non-airplane mode?

I'm a bit of a newbie. I know computers, but my cell phone only makes phone calls.
