Yes, I did tried once with market logon, failed. Same as back in Nov 2010, the 1st version of 2.2 Rom. Not remember who provide cue to reslove it, fix will come, in the mean time, I use applanet for download apps, and copy apks, via Bluetooth usb dongous.
As this pad is for my 4 & 8 yr old sons, mostly play game. Will wait for revised Rom.

Cheers

You may have 2nd partition on your card, same as my 8th card, create ext2 1gb partition, so I and use app like "link2sd". Or you have a hidden files use up card space? Check it from pc, and reformat it again.

Cheers

My memory card is totally free and there aren't partitions. I reformat it but nothing, there are only 3,04gb of space...

There must be a problem with your sd, a 4gb is about 3,7 or 3,8
You should search on more generalistic forums

mm... very interesting micro SD card,

the SD card label as 4GB ? and you have 2 x 4GB card, formatted FAT32, but show 3GB disk space.

maybe you need to buy 8GB sd card, and format it as 6GB then....

LOL

cheers

 those SDs are really weird, does seem like you have 2 of them in addition...wha brand are they..?
Otherwise you should look on generalistic forums for "how to" retrieve missing space, i can't help, never seen that (well i've some sd with unallocated space, but yours is ghost free space...)

good luck

I did this and it worked. The first time it diddent go through but I did it again and it worked. I have a 1 speaker 2 screws version. Now im at 2.3.3
Thanks!

I was able to download all 13 files, finally put together 1 image file.

Start Terminal shell with root in your PAD (root required)

mount your sdcard /extsd and run below command or accordingly.

Start Backup you existing ROM for internal sdcard TF 4GB Scandisk

dd of=/extsd/backup.img if=/dev/block/mmcblk0 bs=1048576

The dd process run at background for 30 minutes.

When completed, do a check with ls command to check the size ~3.7GB.

Reboot

HOWTO Upgrade steps.

Start terminal shell with root in your PAD (root required)

make sure sdcard mounted with copy of new version 2.3 ROM name it update.img

dd if=/extsd/update.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0 bs=1048576

this dd process take ~30 minutes run at background, make sure you have your power AC connected.

After 30 minutes, the pad will halt, don't worry, you just need to reset it, by push the reset pin hole.

Risk yourself, if these command break, you will need to open your A8 PAD manually to flash with USBit tools in windows XP.

good luck

Finally, I managed to found time seat down for ~2 hours, get above upgraded down.

I have done about steps, and able to upgraded my 2.2 internal 4GB TF to 2.3 gingerbread ROM.
1st look review 2,3 ROM A8 pad.
The boot logon is color Gingerbread to start with.
The background wall paper is lake.
The pad response seems faster than 2.2 ROM. English version.
Wifi network works and external USB bluetooth (need reboot).
It has Market on it, facebook, skype, AndAppStore client, seems not root yet.

SuperOneClick.exe OR Gingerbread apk can do the root job.

Cheers

Are you looking the physical card or through the usb cable of the tablet?

Only the /sdcard partition of the tablet that is shown to the PC. The rest of the space are use by Android and the boot files.

If its the physical card, maybe you can try a low-level format.
