Gps on tablet

Hi im new to this and wondering about if i get possible 7" android with market place ,can maps work if a gps usb receiver pluged in?
Looking at possible 1.9 300mhz processor with 128mb, was wondering if ok. Perhaps a lot of question for first post, but any answers appreciated, so can get into this scene.

As far as i know it takes android 2.1 or 2.2 to run gps...The 1.9 you refered to is really android 1.6 with update1.9....If you want GPS look into the wits tablet its a 10.00 option...good hunting
