having trouble ROOTING my Nook to become Android Tablet..

Can anyone offer advice?
I've burned the auto-nooter to a microSD, but cannot get the Nook to boot up into the Driod Ops system. It always just boots normal. The device has 1.01 software and I have a MAC.
