Help setting Wallpaper

Hi. I'm new to Android Tablets and I can't figure out how to fit my photos on 10.1 screen as wallpaper. I've tried resizing to 1280 x 800 pxls and smaller. However even after recropping them in the set as wallpaper set up they still finish up way too big and they are also stretched (Pixelated).
I'm using a Packard Bell Liberty Tablet.
Any advice would be appreciated.
