How do i access my home server via wifi?

I have a home "server" set up for media and such and would love to be able to access all my media files from my tablet.

Is this possible, and if so what are the steps I need to take?
It is running Windows 7 Ultimate, and my knowledge is obviously incomplete on the subject.
