Kyros 7015 Soldered battery/Irreplaceable after 300 charges?

Hello,

I just bought a Coby Kyros 7015. A review on Amazon stated the battery is "soldered" and that it would die after 300 charges and has no replacement option.

Has anyone else heard of this or know if it is true?

Li-poly batteries wil start to decay after approx. 300 charge cycles. If you google lithium polymer batteries, you should be able to find some decent articles about it.

I would try to replace it when the time comes. I'll most likely be getting something new by then though. Only time will tell.

Coby 7005 had this same issue. Oh well I don't expect these tablets to last so long, maybe one to two years on some.

As long as there is away to open this beasty then the battery can be replaced.
