New to this forum...but familiar w/rooting :)

Hello all I basically am wanting to know/inquire about a couple different things so bear w/me...

I am looking into buying an android tablet...not sure which yet...under $500.00 though
my question kinda goes like this:

I have a rooted Droid1 phone and have flashed 100+different roms to it over the last year or so...as some of you know there are 15+ different groups/people that make these roms...does the same apply to tablets?

Or is it tablet specific?

Was looking @ the Viewsonic 10" any good?

Pros/Cons?

I guess I'm looking for something that can roll w/keep up with the upcoming updates from Android/Google

Love my gTab. ROMs are tab specific, depending on the platform, but there several different chefs from the viewsonic. Only real con from me is viewing angles.

1 last question...will I be able to connect to my droids wifi? I have wireless tethering installed on my phone and use my laptop to connect to internet via tethering
