I'm looking for a 7" tablet for use in a car. My main problem is that in the past when I've used resistive screens, they always suffer badly in direct sunlight, having a grey-silvery hue to them. Will a tablet with a capacitive screen suffer the same problems?

Does any one know of or own a generic Chinese 7" tablet that is suitable to be bastardized into a car dash that has inbuilt GPS functionality? It doesn't have to be 3D graphically amazing, but play video and music.

Thanks, Cookie

I think that the glare in the sun light happens for both resistive and capactive screens.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab is a 7" tablet with a capacitive touch screen. In auto-brightness or full brigtness, sunlight is greatly reduced and the screen shows quite clearly. The Tablet has GPS Support
