Save URL as app

Hi there,

For a few weeks I now enjoy the asus transformer prime (16 GB) with keyboard. Great combination!
As a “newbe” I so far did not manage to save an internet bookmark of my favorite sites to the “desktop”, e.g. have an “app icon” to directly launch the browser to the respective URL.
Is this possible and if so, what do I have to do?

I don't think there is a 16gb Prime. Anyway if you are using the stock browser while on the url you want to save tap the star icon on the upper right of the browser. You are giving a choice to bookmark the page. Select where it says "add to" and choose home screen.
