they are now talking about taking her back to England to take on their best in one last trip

Would I be correct in assuming a win vs the Brits would be especially sweet for the Aussies?

As the pom gentry think that we Aussies are just......rude, crude, and uncouth, vulgar, common, and low, we relish every chance we get to rub their nose in the mud, and these aristocrats still regard Aussies as those bred from the convict's they banished to this far land (how's that for a great bit of prose) so yes Spider, you're right, it would be a sweet victory.

Yeah Spider I would have backed her only the odd's were what was expected, needing to outlay $100 to win$16

A win is a win and that is quite a record. The betting hardly seems worth it with those odds :)

It sounds like you met my friends,Tom! :-D

If they are friends of yours, it would likely be a pleasure, although I did detect a note of sarcasm...

Crikey mate, you make it sound as though they're not too fond of you Aussies. Let's hope Black Caviar can get you a little more respect over there.

Hey bugger that, Spider mentioned that he might have a riot on his hands if the whole forum didn't get access to our tales of woe and being able to talk about our rich relations etc,etc ncluding stories about Red Back Spiders and whatever else takes our fancy, but your right sometimes we get carried away with what it's all about, but as long as it lightens up the mood who gives a bugger, and it's also helping the U.S.A / Aussie relationship, but regardless of what thread it's on its still good fun,and information sharing, regardless of if it relates to Android tablets or wild tree destroying animals (that are trying to get a taste for cayenne pepper)

I always kind of thought the US/Aussie relationship had a lot to do with the Subaru Outback......but seriously I often get confused between reality and motor vehicles. I still wonder if in Vanishing Point he thought he could somehow just squeeze through the heavy metal. To keep this relevent I will probably spend the rest of the evening trying to come up with an analogy to Android convincing enough for at least one person to give me the benefit of the doubt....

I like to think he did squeeze through. I hope you saw the original of that movie, it's much better than the remake. They had a clone of his car at the Mopar Nationals a couple years ago and it even had his license plate number on it.

My boy has a yellow '70 Challenger with a warmed over 440. I think the '70 was the pick of the litter for the Challengers, but then I'm probably biased.

I dont think Subaru outback is in the same leage as a genuine 4 wheel drive for outback work, the big players in that market are Toyota Land Cruiser or Prado or Jeep Cherokee or Grand Cherokee but perhaps I'm a bit biased as I drive a JeepCherokee and perhaps that goes towards helping USA-Aussie -Italian relationships as Jeep being an American icon is I think now owned by Fiat ? with Fiat being Italian, so crikey mate doesn't that go towards USA/Aussie/Italian relationship, which is pretty good anyway as we have a huge number of Italians that now call Australia home, but having said all that I am an experienced back country (outback)driver and would rate my Cherokee as being a ripper, and thebest towing vehicle I have ever driven,(and if that doesn't get me a discount on a neew Jeep I'm buggered if I know what will)and I will even give a glowing report on Zenethink Tablets if they would agree to take mine back.
