Hi.. just wondering if anyone has taken the 9.7 (series1) tablet to the USA.. does it work off local power?.. or does it need a power transformer to charge the device.

You can charge it via the USB port as well as the dedicated charge port, but all you need is an adapter so the power brick will fit US sockets as the brick is a wide voltage design that can run from 100 to 240 volts, 50/60 Hz.
