Archos 101 shut down but power LED on??!!

Strange one here...

When I power down archos 101 the LED stays on. When I check on the battery level via settings it says it's using an external power source even though nothing is plugged in. When I do plug in the A/C adaptor the battery does charge and go up %.

I have tried various off and on procedures using the 10sec rule and cold reset the unit to no avail. I will leave it plugged in over night and see

Any ideas??

I will ask the obvious questions.
1. When did it start?
2. Did you recently install an application?
3. Did you recently uninstall an application?
4. Did you recently update or return to a prior firmware?
These questions will help identify if it is Hardware based or in the firmware/installed apps. Let us know. Otherwise, you can call Archos and get support through them. It should still be under warranty.

Thanks gurgle, I have formatted and updated the AoS and still no joy. I have organized for Archos to take it back for repair so I guess I'll keep u posted.
