2.2 HY works pretty good, no soft buttons, battery is always full and claims usb charging.
also, if you unplug the usb, the icons dont leave the notification bar, and the default language is chinese

I didn't flash mine since decompression says CRC is wrong.

Did yours say the same ?

What about market and flash?

Please check the SHA1 after download, it should be

No.
The Herotab C8 / Dropad A8 has a Cortex A8 Samsung 1GHz processor.
This Pad has a Telechips ARM11 720 MHz processor.

Some apps don't show in the market like flash player and Firefox.

YouTube app works fine and avi files play too.
It still "thinks" to be a phone and shows icons in the bar and has no soft buttons as already said.
The tablet plays fast and till now I had no troubles with my home's Wi-Fi.
Sync of calendar works with my company's server too (egroupware) so I'm happy till now.

I have upgraded and noticed that the tablet gets very hot in the back and I haven't stereo sound. I'm considering to came back to the original. Has anyone the same problem?

It's reporting ARMv6-compatible processor rev6 660.0 MHz

What I did wrong?

Couple of problems to add to those already listed above for the 2.2 4GB HY by albertdsh:

• HDMI Out works on TV, but sends my tablet screen crazy - wavy lines that are impossible to see what you are doing
• Bluetooth doesn't work
• Speech Recorder crashes (though Camera recording sound in video is fine)

Back to 2.1 for me...

I tested the 2.2 firmware on mine (I think it is not a HY but it has 4GB) and i had the same problems:
Not stereo sound
Not sound for video player.
there is not YouTube app on the market
Wrong battery indicator

On my HY I found the YouTube app in the market and it runs OK with video and sound (not stereo of course )

I also noticed a very slow boot process, much slower than 2.1.

Every time it boots SD is scanned for new media.
