saw the spec sheet mentioned light sensor....all s7s? or us ones? and what does it do? where is it located?

The light sensor is built into the camera....thats how the auto brightness in Settings works. I do not know if it's built into the front or the rear camera, though

No, it is actually right above the home button!

Just found it. It is black and difficult to see if you don't look for it.

But it needs to stay disabled if you want better battery life, as with other Android devices with built in light sensors.

Anyone know of any problems with C62B013? I have only seen C62B011 as the latest working rom.

This is the last rom not named on the modaco link--HIDS70089V100R001C62B013- I have it ready to go but I hesitate- has funky looking characters asso. with the download. Chinese or korean pdf file.

@pvella- you have this rom listed in your signature lines. Do you have any problems with it?

well I was adventurous and flashed it. Now the tablet is in chinese. Anyone know how to get it in english? settings are all in chinese.

Found it- Go into settings- count down 10 lines and select it. Then select the 1st line and you have your languages!

It is also telling me that the build number is s7v100r001c62b11 - not C62B13

I fixed it with the update utility in order to put the french rom back

By the way, the changes I've noticed between the 2 roms are:
the zip size (97.7 vs 97.2 Mo for the french)
Different boot logo (IDEOS vs Huawei S7 for the french one)
keyboard (named IME huawei with hand writing recognlition on the singapore one)

it also started written in chinese when asking for the PIN code , and then change to french.

I've flashed the C62B011 and I'll try a reflash later today.
I let it flash through twice before I used it so we will see.

Just reflashed the c62b11 from the micro sd card ( 2wice- forgot to remove card) and had no problems. Zek, Hope your episode was a fluke.
Well my flash was C60b010 my bad. I'll try again.

I cannot find a link to the C62B11 rom. The only one is the C62B13 which is really C62B11. Anyone have a link to a sure C62B11?

I have a BestBuy S7-104 internal 8gig sdcard. I first flash from the original to the S7V100R001C60B011 which was to my understanding was the new Singapore ROM at one time I downloaded it on 1/5/11 and flashed my S7 (sdcard method) It was able to be overclocked at this time and it started in english for me. I lost voice search and reloaded it from a gingerbread keyboard app. I liked the rom it is clean I got confused with the Apps2SD and cache and scripts ? and I started over. I first formatted my internal 8gig Sdcard. I then flashed to S7V100R001C62B013 using sdcard method and it has been great for me. It started in english (I did have my T-Mobile sim in it) voice search and everything was there that I know of and I also flashed twice my mistake. But, it says its version S7100R001C62B011 It has the IDEOS bootup. I then used EASEUS Partition Master 6.5.2 Home Edition and created a 1.2 gig unformatted drive on my internal sdcard. I then formatted it in ext2 format. I then installed a few programs, z4root and rooted it, loaded titanium backup, root explorer, and the Gscripts program and the front and back cam scripts and put them in the folder with the Gscripts data folder. I cut off my wi-fi and only renamed my WPA_Supplicant file to WPA_Supplicant1 and moved a copy of the other renamed 306k size file there rebooted and had ad-hoc support. I then went to the maket and got the Link2sd app and loaded that up and have been running fine. I have been playing around with programs and stuff. I just use my Gscript app to run the front cam swap when I want to. I use a scanner more than I use video call so I like using those on the fly. I have around 56 programs loaded and have about 85 to 95 of memory left at any given time for apps. I am not real good at trying to explain everything I am learning here. I think we need to validate and check the ROMS to make sure we have the right one when we upgrade. I do not know if or why my S7100R00162B13 that I flashed only shows at S7100R00162B11. I just know everything is working great and I am a happy camper now. I will help if I can to try and get some of these options so others may have the choice to flash and ext2 and link2sd and not get so messed up like I have. Good Luck with you all. This is only what I have done. I don't recommend anyone follow everything I have done. I just wanted you all to know.
