Ill see what I can do. I did the clear data to factory defaults from the settings privacy menu, didnt fix anything and I lost my Launcher pro, so I only have the f keys of a usb keyboard to navigate with. Would like to find a way to start apps with the external board then I could load a few apks.

I've just bought a superpad i7 with 7 inch screen and infotmic x220 processor (but when i open the epad, the chip is x210). Just now the touchscreen won't work, and using a mouse i do the restore factory data reset (setting - privacy). Since i do the factory data reset, every time i turn on the tablet it come to the calibration screen, i did the calibration (amazingly the touch screen is worked) but never success calibrating the screen (and stuck on that - can't go to main menu until it success). Here's brief information of my epad (before the screen fail)
- Model Number : M702
- Android version : 2.2 v4.4
- Kernel version : 2.6.32.9 tom@infotm #2
- build number : FRF85B

Welcome to the forum.

What is the Hardware Id "hwver" and U0 "u-boot-nand.bin" versions displayed on the initial boot screen? As depicted below circled in RED.

Neither, that was just an example. The Superpad i7 tablets have a different firmware than the Sylvania tablets but both are InfoTMIC x210 tablets.

Depending on the firmware installed these tablets have various boot sequences and several provide insight to the board and firmware by displaying the Hardware ID "hwver" and U0 "u-boot-nand.bin" image version upon boot up.

If anyone can post pictures of the Superpad i7 boot sequence that would be informative.

There's no infotmic logo. The boot sequence is :
- power on, black screen with numbers
- Green android word (not the green robot)
- triangle flashing lines

Can i use the sylvania ROM for my tablet?

NO! From previous posts the Hardware Id "hwver" and U0 "u-boot-nand.bin" seem very different. More research is required.

If yours is like mine (sounds like it so far) there should be a set of numbers posted at the bottom right of screen when green android text is displayed.

Looks exactly like my boot up, or as it used to be. Mine quit showing the "swirly" and goes to black for a bit, then to the lock screen. Thanks for posting those.

The following information comes with a caution that these files may cause irreparable damage (brick) the tablet.

See http://www.androidtablets.net/forum/infotmic-based/23550-infotmic-i10y.html for more information. Also, these firmware files seem to be Android 2.1 (Eclair) NOT 2.2 Froyo.

The following file seem to be misidentified as a I10Y when the FileNum (Hardware ID "hwver and version) identify it as a I7Y. However, the I10Y seems to be similar 0.5.0. 1. Therefore, you might attempt to burn the firmware with the InfoTMIC Update Wrap (IUW.exe) utility described in http://www.androidtablets.net/forum/infotmic-based/17274-introduction-iuw-burning-tools.html.

Are u saying it might be worth a try to "fix" mine with this process? I was/am running 2.2 but going to 2.1 is no issue to me if it gets me a working tablet

There are several alternatives before taking that step of going backwards.

Try the factory reset method of other SuperPad's....press and hold the menu button and the big round back button and then press the power button. If that doesn't place the tablet in recovery mode then ...

Ask the supplier to provide a current update and/or ...

Have another SuperPad user dump their "resv" or recovery partition for investigation to determine whether a copy of the backup system.img (zSYS.img) exists.
