tether 3G internet

has anyone see an app to tether 3G internet to my Apad android with 2.2 OS from my HTC Desire

really appreciate any help tried everything

The problem is android doesn't see ad-hoc networks. There is a fix for that check my thread about the Bluepanther Thunder.

The Ad-Hoc issue is resolved in 2.2, and there is also a workaround for that anyway with changes to the wpa.supplicant file.

In the meantime, look in the market for an app called WiFi Tether 2.0.5 by Muller Lemons and Buxton. That will allow you to use your phone as a WiFi tether.

It didn't work on 2.2 for me without the modified wpa_supplicant. Hopefully the one in my thread will help you unless you need v6.

No luck cant seem to get my tablet to accept any of the recommendations
