Hi,
I bought a Craig CMP741e tablet. It is supposed to be a 1.4ghz cpu, but it is underclocked at 1ghz. I tried to overclock it over 1.1ghz, but it crashes. I am wondering if I can put some thermal compound to the arm cpu and try overclock again. I haven't open up my tablet yet, I just want to ask you guy first beforehand to see if it worth my time to do it. Does Android tablet even have heatsink on their cpu? If not, no point of applying thermal compound?
Thanks.

In general, Android CPUs do not have heat sinks so there's no point in trying to apply thermal compound.

Compound will do nothing if its just instantly freezing as its not voltage or heat at those low points, you need to root the device and possibly rebuild the kernel depending on the chipset.
