With the release of Android 3.0, Honeycomb, there are still many tablets running older Android operating system versions.

Will you consider purchasing an Android tablet that cannot run Honeycomb?

Yes, I am very fond of 2.2

Sure, if the price is right.

Most 3.0 tablets are quite expensive at this point, and I just want a tablet that plays flash. I'm stuck between wanting to get a decent 2.2(flash tablet), and saving up $500 for a higher-end tablet.. decisions, decisions.

To be honest, I would really prefer the most reliable tablet whether it be the most current one or not. Somehow, I tend to think that the most current tablets are better than the ones before. Apart from getting my $$ worth, I believe in immediate response..the system has to be fast and furious. It has to be able to run the most current apps and some office tools. The most current OS is crucial for me. I would buy 2.2 or 2.3 if they meet the criteria I just mentioned...and if the price is right. I would also not mind saving some more for 3.0. O, the other thing is I DO NOT like the long wait between when a new tablet is announced and when it actually hits the market. Sorry Xaueious, I digress. thanks

I had the archos home 7 ands it stinks, both in hardware and software. Just returned the XOOM. As nice as it was it still wasnt worth 600 dollars.
My next tablet will probably be the Samsung Galaxy or Dell Streak if I can find either of them for a reasonable price. I found I dont need Honeycomb but I darn sure need at least 2.2. I also prefer a capacitive touch screen, and a display at 24 bit color with a resolution of at least 800x400. I also prefer something smaller than the XOOM and bigger than my Droid. So I thing the Samsung Tab or 5 inch Streak are perfect. Whenever I see one at a store I am always impressed.

I own an archos101 my attention getter flytouch2. Altho as sexy as it looks and tempting, I have no plans on buying the xoom or any other 3g tablet. I prefer the wifi only myself. It seems the newer tablets, the company's are putting to much effort into them just to sell. Just give me a smooth running system and I'll buy it. Sure my tablets have the ability for 3.0 but what about 3.0 apps to come? What would be the point to upgrade if you couldn't use the new software available. Its like a constant war in the android field. Having the better software.
I prefer 2.1 and 2.2 why? There stable. Just like how some people still prefer windows xp. Its stable it does the job. You want the honeycomb feel? Skin em:) and with that I prefer a flytouch or archos any day over a xoom, galaxy tab, or soon to be htc flyer.

Anybody know of any Honeycomb mods for the Galaxy Tab?

It would be very interesting to see this poll again in late July.... I wonder if the numbers would be quite different.

I heard Samsung has a 10 inch Galaxy tablet (WiFi only) running Honeycomb due out in June for $599

Fyi, honeycomb and ics do not support moving apps to SD card and there's no way to get around it other than rooting.

It depends a lot one budget I think. If them tab had all them necessary specs I wanted, them I would consider an older os like 2.3. Its a big if tho' I would need cap screen & fast cpu, decent memory & battery life but, even tho I have ics tab, if it all worked well enough I would definitely buy one at them right price.

No. It must run at least ICS (Android 4.0), and support Google Market/Play.
