Just a rebranded X5A unit to Coby. The unit special price is OK, but you can find it cheaper elsewhere if you are looking for one. There is the advantage of Home Shopping Return Policy. Or is that a disadvantage. My wife is the one to ask that question.

I've ordered one today! HSN is good on returns and now you have until Jan 2011 to return it. They provide you with UPS return labels, all you have to do it drop it off any UPS store. I've ordered the Maylong M-150 from Walgreens online using the Get5 off code yesterday. CS told me that I can return that to any Walgreen's store for a full refund including a refund of shipping charges. HSN didn't charge me tax buying it online. Walgreen's you get hit with tax and shipping ouch. The Cruz was on last weekend on HSN selling for more. QVC had the Black Pandigital Novel on sale today which aired twiced. HSN Coby is a better deal, 1080p, 800MHz they give you extra external storage SD but only 2GB and the leather case an etc.

Is the 7.0" touchscreen, TFT LCD (800 x 480)comparable to resistive or capacitive screens? Sorry I'm not 100% sure and need to be before suggesting it to someone. Thanks! :)

This is really basic no apps installed, no GE so I see they didn't get the license either. But it really quick I have to install my own
GE into it if I need it. Everything is so huge though. I'll run some additional test. Touchscreen is excellent out of the box
But where the heck is my return shipping label? I just see the one you send to someone not the UPS one.
I guess I'll have to go and print one out on the HSN site if I decided to keep this one or not. Time will only tell.

Inside the other part of the box, I see they give you a glass cleaner cloth.

HDMI to mini HDMI cable
USB Host Cable
USB Cable
Coby Professional Ear Buds
Stylus Pen
Power supply with macro pin connection it sticks out like the epad one does.
35 Free eMusic
40 page manual looks like the one you get when you buy a expensive watch
Warranty Card

No File Manager installed! They got to be kidding but good thing I have my SDK tools to install apps without one. CPU is running at 720MHz / (800MHz)

Yes! $63, is what I had paid to get it sent out to me. In Nov, Dec and Jan I have to pay $49 for each month, if I decided to keep it. It cost $199.99 plus shipping. No tax on this deal.
If I decided to send it back with enclosed UPS label. I get back my money. No interest charges either. They had sold over 4,000 units on 10/23/10 and only had less than 1,000 yesterday. Now when I go and check the link:

HSN

We're sorry, this product has sold out and is no longer available.

To find a similar item, use our search box or browse our departments located at the top of your screen.

Update: So far all my PowerTools Elite and Mega PowerTools installs perfect. Even that game called Wacko Mole loads find. I wanted to test out the 3D GSensor on RThunder II for Android OS 2.1.
Got to hand to Coby folks this seems much quicker, and I know it's not Rooted but out of the box its 720MHz on TeleChip CPU. All my Videos played that had given me trouble on Pandigital Novel / Tablet Hybrid.
WiFi out of the box had seen my network and the keyboard was accurate not malfunctioning like some tablets I've own so far. I still got the Maylong M-150 heading my way so I'll give that a test spin as I was
edging to test out the new VIA VM8505+.

A full Hardware Reveiw on the Coby later on..

Thank you for the pictures. I ordered one yesterday and hopefully it will get to me soon. How does it compare to the Pandigital White in your opinion?

Hi Tipstir,

Thanks for the update and the images! I should be getting mine in a few days (I was one of the late batches they were waiting for), have you looked at upgrading your memory to 32GB? The device has 4 GB built in, and is expandable to 32GB. So I assume that you would need a 28GB SD card in order to do this? I could not find one in that size, only 24GB and 32GB. If I use the 32GB, wont that put me over the 32GB limit? 36GB would be nice! Using the 24GB would only give 28GB total. I am trying to locate the colby website for the Kryos and see if the 32GB can be used. If you know or hear of this, please let me know. I will repost if I can find it and get an answer.

Thanks!

HSG X5A with new packaging. HSG making it big!

Pricing is $30 over direct China shipments, but is backed with warranty and is in stores where you can refund, pickup, etc.

How about the G-sensor? Multi-touch?

The touchscreen quality of the X5A is the only real drawback of the form factor. I haven't had a chance to upload my videos yet.

Did they strip the Goggle apps?

If not Coby is in for a world of hurt.

Hey tipstir where's that hardware review? Either you are writing it up now or are too busy playing games on it. :)
