New Archos Firmware 2.1.08

I'm too chicken to downgrade. I'm a developer and am getting productive use out the tablet so I'm not willing to take it out of service. So I'm getting good use out of the unit with GPS now that I know the limitations. Bluetooth GPS hang, and wireless N performance are my only grips at this point.

Bizarre really you are too chicken to downgrade and I am too chicken to upgrade. Mine works for what I do so maybe I just wait for Nirvana

The downgrade process voids warranty and is a pretty good hack. Since I have an open ticket with Archos on the BT issues, I don't want to take it off stock. Actually I think my next step will be the custom ROM from here if Archos doesn't correct it.

Dear gurgle, The latest FW version is 2.3.26 released on 4/21/2011. I called Archos tech support and they walked me thru the process. You plug in your AC power supply during the update. It work great. They will be realeasing another update to use Adobe Flash Player 10.1 very soon. paulwayne.
