Yeah we actually mapped the back button out to one of the two back keys. So far that's pretty usable. We need to add in the rotate widget still, or find a better way to do it.

My wife just got a SYNET7LP at Sears the other day. Looking forward to the ROM update cause I think this could be a nice little tablet for what she wants (web, email, Kindle) with it.

It will. I use mine to read when ever I am waiting for someone. ie @ the Dr. or waiting for the kids to get out of school. I have put a few full movies on my SD card and I check my email and CNN in the morning before I get out of bed. Love it despite its flaws. So when this ROM gets finished I will more than love it.

I have a development question: When I boot my 2.2 EX7 it will load a lot of things. Gmail, the Video player, both the Amazon and Android markets. after waiting a full min of letting everything load I have less than 60 megs of mem free. I use Advanced Task killer. and I will tap kill tasks a few times. and some of those things will re load a few times. After about 6 taps things will stop loading and I have over 80 megs free. Is it possible to have it boot "clean" with pout all the extras? I know Android was meant originally for phones and things all run at the start. but I would love it if it only loaded the system files and not half of the apps I have installed.

I dont see why not , we could include a current startup manager app(thats free from the market) which would let you decide which processes you want to load on boot. I will have to look into which is the best app for use on our tablets failing that i will take up the challange to try and code one for us

i use optimizer toolbox (aka android optimizer) It allows you to deny auto start to apps, and its optimize function is unbeatable. Latest news: yesterday was my one year aniversary with my girlfriend but I managed to sneak in a little testing on the ican (which will lead to future ports to the other sylvania's, info tm devices, and flytouch/super pads I can assume based on their structures). So far the sytabex7 version does not load on them fully, so looking into that. The sytabex7 has rejected most of our screen patches, so we're reviewing logs on that to see what the hangup is this time.

Annoying. It's Just different enough to need a decent amount of catch up work to get to where the sytabex7 is.
