Here's the dump from the 7048 7048_dump.zip. Used this method from vampirefo.

adb shell

su

mkdir /sdcard/dump

busybox tar -cvzf /sdcard/dump/7048_system.tar /system

cat /dev/mtd/mtd6 > /sdcard/dump/recovery.img

cat /dev/mtd/mtd0 > /sdcard/dump/boot.img

cat /dev/mtd/mtd2 > /sdcard/dump/system.img

the firmware is good? :D

I was just wondering if there was a way to get back to the original Rom for the 9742-8 yet? I installed the livesuite Rom a few months back and it works decent but just want to get back to stock. Thanks

Read the Development Index and Root Utility sticky. I provide a link in the System Dumps post to a post by Vampirefo which explains how to restore the system dump without using Livesuite. Be aware however that even though you have a dump now, it may not successfully restore due to Livesuite tampering.

If you don't have a backup, then you have nothing to restore.

There are at least 2 system dumps of 9742 in the requesting firmware dumps thread. The 9742 has at least 2 or 3 hardware versions so these may or may not work for you.

Tried uploading my zipped dump file, but says file is too large @ 133mb. Should the dump not be this big?
It's from a new 9742.
