They seemed to have jacked up the price a bit. It is still well less than $200

That's Android OS 2.2 base and Coby policy for upgrading the OS is none. So whatever the tablet comes with for OS that's it no upgrade. Better to use Android OS 2.3 vs Android OS 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2. They have memory leak and game graphic issues. This was reported by Android development team in the Android OS 2.3 release. That would account for issues under Android OS 2.2 when I was testing it on other tablets. So I am in for 10" if it's at good price though. I hope HSN, QVC or ShopNBC will offer them with payments.

I'm interested in one of these as well. On the Coby site, it says that the MID7024 has a 7.4V 2000mah battery and comes with a 9V charger. The MID7015 has a 3.7v 4500mah batteries with 5V chargers. I noticed that the MID7026, which has the same processor as the MID7024, is listed as having a 3.7v 4000mah. This is the same power rating as the MID7024 but the different voltages seems screwy. Also, this is about 2Wh less power than the MID7015's battery. Would it be possible that this newer processor Samsung S5PV210 (Cortex A8), rated at 1Ghz, uses less power than the MID7015's Telechips TTC8902 at 800mhz? If not, whatever the voltage, the MID7024 has about a 10% less powerful battery than the MID7015. Any help on figuring this out would be appreciated.

Jeepa, the mid7015 does not have a 4500mah battery. Do a search for "Inside the Coby Kyros 7015" and you can see that it has a 2450mah battery. Colby's website claims the 7015 bat is 3200, maybe a little white lie? Anyway, your conclusion is wrong. The 7024/7025 battery is almost twice the capacity of the 7015! 3.7v 2450mah vs 3.7v 4000mah. This makes sense because if you search the forum you can see a tear down post for the Herotab c8 with the same A8 processor as the 7024, and it has a similar size battery. In terms of the voltages being screwy as you say, it's just a different way of wiring the battery packs - parallel vs series. As you point out, they have the same power rating (capacity). Hope this clears things up.

My thinking may be flawed but I ordered the MID7024 with 2.2 because the units with 2.3 were delayed. The physical specs seemed the same just the OS was different. I was thinking there may be hope for an OS update this way.

Thanks for helping me out on that. I could SWEAR that the Cobyusa site said that the 7015 had a 4500mah battery when I looked the other day, but maybe I didn't have my glasses on. So that was really the source of my confusion. And finding out that the 7015 battery has even less capacity than they advetise, well I guess you have to take advetisements with a grain of salt sometimes. It makes you wonder if the 7025 really has a 4000mah battery.

It looks like the front case has a slight rounded bevel to it. My MID7015 edges are squared off and sharp where they rest on the pad of my thumb. Not really comfy.

Adorama ships out of NJ warehouse and they's so slow on delivery. Shipping is free. There is one wholseler for $158 but it has to be special ordered. I am surprise none of the HSN, QVC or ShopNBC has it yet. Walgreen's sells the KYROS 7015. As for the 7015 the edges are rounded.
