Well, it just installed and booted back up just fine. I don't notice ANYTHING different, however I'm using a different launcher than stock. So maybe they changed something in the UI? Or maybe they are just trying to screw over the rooters? Isn't there a changelog posted somewhere?

What can you see in the 'Settings: About Device'? Android Version, Kernel Version etc.

Android Version: 2.3.2 GRH78C
Kernel Version: 2.6.35.7+ (blah blah blah... Tue Nov 22)
Software Version: V.I.A. Plus 1.4
Uboot Version: 1.1.18
Build Number: 1.9.57

I am surprised that the Software Version Number was not changed. Must have been a bug. The build number has changed. I am guessing that the kernel was recompiled on the 22nd of Nov (a week after root was achieved).

Translation: We just patched the root exploit.

I am guessing that this was probably pushed out by Google patching this exploit.

So instead of fixing the SD card issue or upgrading us to ICS or even Honeycomb, Vizio wastes their time issuing a security update. Wonderful.
